Cowon S9 merupakan MP3 player pertama di tahun 2009 dengan display touchscreen, untuk bersanding dengan iPod Touch Apple. Cowon S9 hadir dalam kapasitas 8GB dengan harga $199 dan 16GB seharga $239. Cowon S9 diakui karena keunggulannya dari fenomena kualitas audio dan display OLED touchscreen.

Bobot MP3 player yang cukup ringan hanya sekitar 2.7oz atau 1 kg lebih, separuh bobot dari iPod Touch. Cover plastic berukuran 3.75 inch x 4.25 inch yang anti gores, dipadu dengan warna hitam, lebih baik dibandingkan chrome mengkilat dari iPhone.
